My very cool title,(Writing)

For writing this week I have learnt that there are three types of sentences. These are simple, compound and complex sentences.

 A simple sentence is a sentence that only contains one main verb. For example, he ran to the park.

A compound sentence has more than one verb. The sentence has at least two major independent clauses. They can be joined by a semicolon, or a comma and coordinating conjunction such as ‘but’, ‘and’ and ‘so’: example, Jake realized his tire was flat, so he quickly went to pump up his tire

A complex sentence is a sentence that contains subordinate clauses that helps add more detail and information to a sentence. The subordinate clause can go at the start, in the middle or at the end of the sentence: For example;

Bob wanted to swim in the ocean, even though the waves and wind were rough.

Bob, even though the waves and wind were rough wanted to swim in the ocean

Even though the waves and wind were rough Bob wanted to swim in the ocean

So what do you do for writing 

Maths for week 9

 For math this week I have been using my own map using both compass directions and distances. 

So I would just make up a map on google drawings and just do questions like how many km does it take to get from there to there.

maths task week 7

 For maths this week I have been planning a day trip around christchurch. I would first start with my home and then just find places I want to go like willow bank or something. Then I would find the most direct route then just find what bus I would take, what time would I get their, and basically just where i'm going

Reading work

 For reading this week I have been doing A Character Reading Web ill explain. So you read a fiction book then you get one main character from the book and then you get more characters from the book and talk about them a little and how they relate to the main character. here's my work.
